{"id":312955,"date":"2026-06-19T11:34:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T11:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/312955\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T11:34:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T11:34:10","slug":"mdso-multiple-people-injured-in-miami-dade-armed-carjackings-suspect-in-custody","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/312955\/","title":{"rendered":"MDSO: Multiple people injured in Miami-Dade armed carjackings; suspect in custody"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0June 19, 2026 at 7:13 AM<\/p>\n<p>A man is fighting for his life after being beaten and stabbed during an armed carjacking that investigators believe may be connected to a series of violent crimes across southwest Miami-Dade Thursday night. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.  \u2014 A man is fighting for his life after being beaten and stabbed during an armed carjacking that investigators believe may be connected to a series of violent crimes across southwest Miami-Dade Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, the first attack happened shortly before 8:45 p.m. near Southwest 67th Avenue and 40th Street. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said a man was beaten, stabbed and robbed of his vehicle during an armed carjacking. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, the suspect fled the scene in the victim\u2019s vehicle, but the violence did not end there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A short time later, deputies responded to two additional armed robberies and carjackings. The first was reported near Southwest 137th Avenue and 56th Street, followed by another at a gas station near Southwest 157th Avenue and 88th Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The victims in those incidents were hospitalized, but are in stable condition, Rodriguez said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">As deputies searched for those responsible, they located one of the stolen vehicles in the area of Southwest 152nd Avenue and 72nd Street and spotted a person matching the description of the suspect running away from it, Rodriguez said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to Rodriguez, the suspect was taken into custody after deputies chased him on foot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Robbery detectives are now working to determine whether the suspect is responsible for all three incidents or whether additional suspects were involved in the violent crime spree.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The investigation remains ongoing.
