Rome + Fig<\/a>, a globally inspired bistro in North Hyde Park, is closing after six years.<\/p>\n

Owners Eric and Kristine Zostant announced the decision on Instagram, expressing gratitude for their guests, staff and supporters. Rome + Fig\u2019s last day of service will be June 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe restaurant industry is filled with challenges, but despite them, we consider ourselves fortunate to have spent the last six years serving this amazing community,\u201d the Zostants wrote.<\/p>\n

Rome + Fig opened in summer 2020 during the pandemic. Kristine and Eric had to be adaptive to open their first restaurant \u2014 they had socially-distanced tables, sanitizing stations and single-use physical menus.<\/p>\n

Six years later, Rome + Fig boasted a large international dinner, brunch and drinks menu. Dishes spanned fish papillote (French) to lomo saltado (Chinese-Peruvian) to chicken pizzaiola (Italian).<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat began as a dream became so much more than a restaurant \u2026 countless memories were shared around our tables,\u201d the Zostants wrote.<\/p>\n

The restaurant will have modified hours through June 28: 4 p.m.-12 a.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday for brunch and 4 p.m.-12 a.m. for dinner and 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday for brunch.<\/p>\n

Rome + Fig is located at 301 N. Rome Ave., Tampa.<\/p>\n
