Construction continues to progress on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride coming to Universal Studios Florida, as large A-frames are installed. <\/p>\n

Photos from the ground this morning, June 19, from @bioreconstruct<\/a> show the new towering A-frames that went in overnight. New supports on the right, that were just recently installed, can also be seen. On the far right of the image is a part of the spike element of the new Fast & Furious coaster. The 170-foot-tall spike <\/a>will be a dead-end, forcing the ride vehicles to stop and change direction.<\/p>\n

The photo above, taken last night, shows the lower halves of both A-frames being installed. These supports sit inside the large curved section of the light blue\/gray track that workers have been installing over the last couple of weeks. <\/a> <\/p>\n

Here is a photo from a similar angle from last week, without the pair of A-frames and the new ride supports. Once again, the large structure on the right is the spike element.<\/p>\n

Our reporter captured a wider view of the construction site with the spike element and the partially completed A-frames from the ground yesterday morning. There is still additional track that will be installed on the spike element.<\/p>\n

Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces\u00a0Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit<\/a> and is expected to open in 2027. One version of the coaster, however, will\u00a0open soon<\/a>\u00a0at Universal Studios Hollywood.<\/p>\n
