An arrest affidavit for Requena showed the investigation culminated after an undercover investigator arranged an appointment for lip filler service at the Casselberry address where Requena was allegedly operating.<\/p>\n
After the undercover investigator arrived and Requena agreed to perform the service, she was arrested, the affidavit said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like justice has been served,\u201d Desi said. \u201cThere are so many illegal injectors out there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Luis and Desi said they had heard of Requena but they became much more familiar with her after a client of hers came to The Vanity Room with a vascular occlusion, which is a partial or complete blockage of a blood vessel.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was having problems with pain, with tenderness, with bumps,\u201d Luis recounted. <\/p>\n
Those problems, they said, resulted in a botched job at the hands of Requena. <\/p>\n
The Vanity Room was able to fix the immediate issue, but the problems did not stop there.<\/p>\n
\u201c(The patient) tells me (Requena) said that she knows you and that you could take care of my complications, that you actually wanted her to work for you,\u201d Luis said. \u201cWhich could not be farthest away from the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Luis and Desi told News 6 they had no ties to Requena at any point.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have never met this person before and I would never ever condone illegal medicine,\u201d Luis said.<\/p>\n
They urged people who want lip filler services to do their due diligence and make sure they are going to people who are trained and authorized to perform these procedures.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you are going to see a real medical provider, that provider is not going to have a problem showing you his or her license, showing you the documentation stating that I am licensed to do this,\u201d Luis said.<\/p>\n
