MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 This week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis received several new bills for approval, including one that would establish an official \u201cCharlie Kirk Memorial Avenue.\u201d<\/p>\n
That bill \u2014 HB 33<\/a> \u2014 was filed back in September following the assassination of the famed conservative political activist<\/a>.<\/p>\n [RELATED: Hundreds mourn Charlie Kirk at Central Florida vigils]<\/p>\n Under the proposal, the new designation would be applied to a section of Southwest 107th Avenue in Miami, between Southwest 8th Street and Southwest 24th Street.<\/p>\n In all, this stretch makes up around 1 mile along the perimeter of Florida International University.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the only new designation covered by the bill, though. HB 33 also renames a portion of Commercial Boulevard in Broward County as \u201cPresident Donald J.
