{"id":314105,"date":"2026-06-20T12:59:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T12:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/314105\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T12:59:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T12:59:07","slug":"wadeview-neighborhood-center-wins-summer-reading-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/314105\/","title":{"rendered":"Wadeview Neighborhood Center wins Summer Reading Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wadeview Community Center students are reading this summer, and they\u2019re off to a great start by winning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlando.gov\/Our-Government\/Departments-Offices\/Executive-Offices\/Office-of-Community-Affairs\/Mayor-Buddy%e2%80%99s-Book-Club\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mayor Buddy\u2019s Book Club Summer Reading Challenge<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>The City of Orlando\u2019s program is targeted to second through sixth grade students and \u201cencourages leisure time reading and creative expression\u201d according to the City <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlando.gov\/Our-Government\/Departments-Offices\/Executive-Offices\/Office-of-Community-Affairs\/Mayor-Buddy%E2%80%99s-Book-Club\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>Wadeview students won by having the highest participation rate.\n<\/p>\n<p>During the regular school year, 695 students participated weekly in Mayor Buddy\u2019s Book Club meetings.
