FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FLA. (WSVN) – The Tartan Army, also known as Scottish soccer fans, arrived in South Florida ahead of Scotland\u2019s match against Brazil for the World Cup. <\/p>\n
They\u2019ve been showing up and showing out for the Scotland national football team, who will be playing in Miami Stadium on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Now that the Tartan Army has begun its invasion of South Florida, the party begins with bagpipes and kilts.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo Scotland, no party,\u201d said a Scottish soccer fan.<\/p>\n
\u201cScots don\u2019t take too kindly to the sun a lot of them, but I\u2019m sure everyone\u2019s going to enjoy it,\u201d said a Scottish soccer fan.<\/p>\n
7News spoke to some of the Tartan Army who are hoping for a draw against Brazil so Scotland can keep their chances high of advancing to the round of 32 for the first time.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou got to be confident because without any hope, what\u2019s the point in going?\u201d said Cameron Smyth, part of the Tartan Army.<\/p>\n
Brazil is coming off a 3-0 shutout win over Haiti on Friday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re better than Brazil,\u201d said a Scottish soccer fan.<\/p>\n
In Boston, the Tartan Army took over the city during Scotland\u2019s World Cup matches against Haiti and Morocco, and even drank all the beer at different bars. <\/p>\n
\u201cBoston was insane. I can\u2019t wait for Miami,\u201d said Sean Downie, part of the Tartan Army. \u201cWe drank Boston dry. I think Miami doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s about to hit it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re hoping Miami is going to be better,\u201d said a Scottish soccer fan.<\/p>\n
Now that they\u2019re in South Florida, they\u2019re looking for three things: drinks, a good time, and a win. <\/p>\n
