Round 1, Pick #2: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Miami Dolphins end up picking in the top-two as the current odds project, there\u2019s bound to be some scrutiny regarding Malik Willis.<\/p>\n

At the same time, looking at the state of the Dolphins\u2019 roster, it\u2019s entirely possible that the team struggles overall, while Willis still shows enough promise to warrant one more year. Let\u2019s entertain that second outcome in this 2027 NFL Mock Draft and seek out blue-chip talent elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Miami\u2019s EDGE room, in particular, is extremely uninspiring. Chop Robinson hasn\u2019t developed much since entering the league, and most of the remaining rotation is comprised of journeymen, strictly depth players, and unproven late-round rookies. Dylan Stewart can change that.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Stewart registered a near-elite\u00a0PFN EDGE Impact Score<\/a>\u00a0of 86.8 and an impressive true dropback pressure rate of 12.4%.Stewart\u2019s pressure metrics fell a touch from 2024 in an injury-affected 2025 season, but he still earned a solid EDGE Impact Score of 80.3, while also putting up a 3.7% TFL rate in run defense and pursuit, while allowing just 0.76 yards per run stop, per TruMedia.<\/p>\n

As an athlete and mover, the suspicions are true: Stewart moves different. At a listed 6\u20195\u2033, 245 pounds, with near-34\u2033 arms, Stewart\u2019s explosiveness off the line is more akin to teleportation. He\u2019s exceedingly twitched-up and light on his feet, with elite hip fluidity, ankle flexion, and torso reduction at his size, and his combination of explosion, length, and consistent lower-body load can yield overwhelming power exertions.<\/p>\n

Stewart\u2019s sheer physical potential is the core of his evaluation; he has a near-unmatched blend of explosiveness, lateral agility, quickness, bend, length, and relentless motor, and there are glimpses of proper pass-rush execution with angle manipulation, stunt efficiency, upper-lower synergy, and power production.<\/p>\n

Overall, Stewart has room to keep expanding his counter arsenal and improve his hand precision, and he has room to add a bit more mass and supplement his play strength as well. But at his maximum, he\u2019s a blue-chip presence, and that\u2019s a type of ability Miami doesn\u2019t yet have at one of the most important positions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Round 2, Pick #34: William Echoles, DT, Ole Miss<\/p>\n
