JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Pizza is one of those foods that can be eaten wherever and whenever, but when you\u2019re in the mood for the perfect slice, or trying to show off your city\u2019s food abilities to your friends who are in town for the weekend, where do you go?<\/p>\n

Well, the people of Jacksonville have made their voices heard, and the JAXBest 2025 winner for the area\u2019s best pizza is Moon River Pizza!<\/p>\n

With locations in Jacksonville\u2019s Murray Hill neighborhood at 1176 Edgewood Ave. S and in Fernandina Beach at 925 S. 14th St., Moon River Pizza describes itself as a \u201cfunky pizzeria offering custom & specialty thin-crust pies plus wine & beer in colorful surroundings.\u201d <\/p>\n

According to its Facebook page,<\/a> both locations are open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and are closed on Sundays. <\/p>\n

Moon River Pizza\u2019s menu features beer, wine and pizzas \u201cmade the traditional way,\u201d which it says includes fresh dough, tomato sauce \u201cspiked\u201d with Italian seasonings and topped with freshly grated mozzarella cheese. <\/p>\n

Patrons also have a plethora of toppings to choose from, ranging from classics like pepperoni, pineapple (save the debates for another time), and bacon to not-so-popular items like vegan sausage, broccoli, and breaded eggplant. <\/p>\n

Moon River Pizza took home top marks for best pizza over fellow finalists Joseph\u2019s Pizza, Planet Pizza 904 and Renna\u2019s.<\/p>\n
