(Mike Stocker\/South Florida Sun Sentinel)<\/p>\n<p>Broward County could soon be seeing a construction boom on the sites of property now owned by the Broward School District.<\/p>\n<p>As the district continues its effort called \u201cRedefining Broward County Public Schools\u201d to manage underenrolled schools and unneeded property, the district has been looking to sell or lease land to help offset budget cuts.<\/p>\n<p>The School Board is expected to approve a $14 million deal on Tuesday with Broward Health, where the healthcare provider would purchase 10 acres of vacant property in Parkland to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2024\/02\/23\/broward-health-wants-parkland-land-that-was-once-bought-for-a-new-school\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">build an outpatient facility<\/a> and possibly other development.<\/p>\n<p>Most School Board members also voiced support at a June 16 workshop for a major redevelopment of North Fork Elementary in Fort Lauderdale, one of six schools the district closed this year.
