{"id":315729,"date":"2026-06-22T15:52:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T15:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/315729\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T15:52:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T15:52:27","slug":"victims-identified-following-double-homicide-in-rural-miami-dade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/315729\/","title":{"rendered":"Victims identified following double homicide in rural Miami-Dade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0June 22, 2026 at 10:56 AM<\/p>\n<p>lead-art-block.fullscreen-enterExpand<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/4AOOXOACYJH6JD56EVWDFTTEIE.jpeg\"  width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/>(WPLG) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 The Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office on Monday released the identities of a man and a woman who they said were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/06\/19\/possible-death-investigation-underway-in-southwest-miami-dade\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/06\/19\/possible-death-investigation-underway-in-southwest-miami-dade\/\">killed last week in southwest Miami-Dade.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The victims were identified as Esther Liontos, 58, and Roger Arredondo Gonzalez, 61.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Authorities have not disclosed how the two were killed, but confirmed that one person was detained for questioning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to MDSO, deputies were called to a home, located in the 26100 block of Southwest 209th Avenue, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday after receiving a report about an unconscious woman. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/4635QJQFF5C6PDRDNRFBIZF7MU.jpeg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>(WPLG) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When deputies arrived, they found Liontos lying on the ground outside the home, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">She was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said they found Arredondo Gonzalez lying on the ground nearby.
