An island resort will offer some summertime fun in recognition of America\u2019s milestone birthday.<\/p>\n

The Sundial Beach Resort & Spa will host Red, White & Beach Pool Parties on June 27, July 25 and Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sanibel. Open to the public with admission paid day of, the celebrations will feature access to the pool and beach, recreational activities, entertainment and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a summer celebration for America 250,\u201d General Manager Becky Miller said.<\/p>\n

The resort sold day passes after reopening post-hurricane, but has since stopped doing so.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had a huge demand for people inquiring about them,\u201d she said. \u201cSo this is a way to invite guests in again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Each monthly party will tie in to a theme. June will recognize National Sunglasses Day, July will celebrate National Tropical Fruit Day and August will be themed after National Bow-tie Day.<\/p>\n

There will be beach and pool time.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople will have access to use the pool area, also the umbrellas and shaded areas,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are activities at the pool all day,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Cabanas will also be available for an additional fee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll have access to our beach and beach umbrellas,\u201d she said. \u201cThere is umbrella service available out on beach.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recreational activities will include kayaks and paddleboards, plus arts and crafts for the young ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt could be shell crafts to tie-dye to making a little backpack,\u201d Miller said. \u201cThere\u2019s all different things that we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bingo will take place at 3 p.m. at the pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody loves it because you can float in the water or lounge in your chair and play,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a lot of fun for all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prizes will be available for the winners, like a drink, ice cream cone or even a shirt.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo different types of prizes with that,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n

There will be live music from noon to 3 p.m. June and July will feature acoustic guitarist John McClane with some poolside favorites, and Shore-Nuff will offer up classic rock in August.<\/p>\n

Admission comes with a dining credit.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt gives them access to the pool deck restaurants, which is Beach Bites and Turtle\u2019s Tiki Bar,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Beach Bites features items like pizza, subs, strombolis and ice cream, while Turtle\u2019s serves up more \u201cbeach food,\u201d like grouper sandwiches, burgers and tacos, plus lighter fare like salads and wraps.<\/p>\n

There will be speciality red, white and blue drinks.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have special, themed America 250 drinks at the pool bar,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n

Each party will also have a sponsor, so shot girls or representatives offering product samples.<\/p>\n

The cost is $50 for adults and $30 for youths, which includes the dining credit of $30 for adults and $15 for youths. There is no advance ticketing, so people should arrive early to secure their spot.<\/p>\n

For a longer stay, the resort is offering packages.<\/p>\n

The community is invited to come out.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just a fun day to relax with family and enjoy the beach and pool,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
