{"id":315852,"date":"2026-06-22T17:33:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T17:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/315852\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T17:33:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T17:33:13","slug":"video-shows-police-officer-shoot-man-running-toward-him-in-miami-shores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/315852\/","title":{"rendered":"Video shows police officer shoot man running toward him in Miami Shores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0June 22, 2026 at 12:48 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI SHORES, Fla.  \u2014 A witness shared video showing a police officer shoot a man who was running toward him on Sunday in Miami Shores. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The shooting was near the intersection of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 86th Street, according to the Miami Shores Police Department. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took the wounded man to Jackson Memorial Hospital\u2019s Ryder Trauma Center, according to police. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Before the shooting, the man had \u201ctwo large-edged weapons\u201d when he caused \u201ca disturbance\u201d at the Tropical Chevrolet in Miami Shores, according to police. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police officers responded to the full-service auto dealership shortly after 2:10 p.m. at 8880 Biscayne Boulevard, but the man had left, according to police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">There was an abandoned black book bag, a machete, and bullet casings behind crime scene tape.
