(WCTV) &#8211; Two men found guilty in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/news\/half-time-liquors\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/news\/half-time-liquors\/\">shootout outside Halftime Liquors<\/a> back in October 2022 were sentenced on several charges on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Joseph Walker and Tamylon Williams were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/05\/21\/verdict-reached-deadly-half-time-liquors-shooting\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/05\/21\/verdict-reached-deadly-half-time-liquors-shooting\/\">acquitted of murder charges<\/a> in May, but were found guilty of other charges related to the deadly shooting. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Williams was sentenced to a maximum possible sentence of 30 years in prison for his role in the deadly gun battle outside the liquor store. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Walker was sentenced to a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison for attempted manslaughter. The judge pointed out that Walker had just been released from prison less than 30 days before the deadly shooting occurred.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Innocent bystander Demario Murray was shot and killed when gunfire rang out in the crowded parking lot outside Halftime Liquors in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2022\/10\/31\/more-than-40-50-shots-fired-deadly-parking-lot-shooting\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2022\/10\/31\/more-than-40-50-shots-fired-deadly-parking-lot-shooting\/\">October 2022<\/a>. Eight others were shot, but survived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Both men were facing second-degree murder charges. Court records show the jury found Williams guilty of attempted second-degree murder, while Walker was found guilty of attempted manslaughter.
