\"2026The City of Cape Coral’s Human Resources Department earned the Gold Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America (MHA). This is the third year in a row Cape Coral has received this national certification, recognizing employers committed to creating mentally healthy workplaces for their employees.<\/p>\n

The Bell Seal is the first of its kind in the United States, with gold being one of four levels, along with bronze, silver, and platinum.<\/p>\n

The certification evaluates organizations on their internal policies and practices affecting workers’ well-being, including culture, benefits, and wellness programs.<\/p>\n

MHA’s Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health<\/a>\u00a0was introduced in 2019 to acknowledge employers who understand the importance of addressing mental health at work. In 2024, only 40 percent of the 949 employers that completed the pre-survey qualified for certification.
