\n\t\t\t\t\t\tA man was arrested Sunday after allegedly shooting and assaulting the mother of his two children during a domestic altercation, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.When deputies arrived at the scene, Pedro Juan Ortiz Malave was kneeling beside Emma Vazquez, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.Malave threw an object across the street as OCSO approached. The item was later identified as a pistol, deputies said.Deputies began treating Vazquez until Orange County Fire Rescue arrived and transported her to Orlando Regional Medical Center. One of the couple\u2019s children captured a brief video of the incident on a cell phone, showing Malave pointing a gun at Vazquez\u2019s head. The child told deputies that Malave had forced his way into their home by kicking in the door, causing damage. Malave does not live with Vazquez and did not have permission to enter the residence.A neighbor witnessed the incident and told deputies she saw Malave shoot Vazquez, mount her while she was on the ground, and begin choking her. Vazquez\u2019s current boyfriend also spoke with deputies at the scene.Authorities said Malave had previously threatened to kill Vazquez\u2019s current boyfriend. Deputies determined probable cause to charge Malave with aggravated battery with a firearm, attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, battery by strangulation, and discharging a firearm on residential property.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
