Nearly seven years later, police have arrested a suspect who allegedly murdered a 17-year-old outside of a Miami Gardens gas station.<\/p>\n

The Miami Gardens Police Department announced Tuesday that they identified Warren Pollock, 25, as the suspect in the murder of Rodney Hinds Jr.<\/a> on Oct. 26, 2019. <\/p>\n

Pollock faces charges of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, police said.<\/p>\n

Hinds was sitting inside a vehicle at the Shell gas station located at 840 NW 183rd Street when an unknown person approached him and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, detectives said. <\/p>\n

Surveillance cameras had captured the entire incident.<\/p>\n

The case eventually turned cold. Hinds’ family even offered a monetary reward for the identification and arrest of the suspect.<\/p>\n

“Through continued investigative efforts, community cooperation, the relentless dedication of Cold Case detectives from the Miami Gardens Police Department and the Miami-Dade State Attorney\u2019s Office, investigators developed new evidence that led to the identification of the suspect, 25-year-old Warren Masai Pollock,” police said Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Pollock, who was already in custody for an unrelated murder case. Last July, Pollock and his sister were arrested<\/a> in the execution-style murder of Steven Black in 2022 in Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n
