\u201cAs friends and family are grieving an unimaginable loss of a loved one, our detectives are working tirelessly to identify and arrest those responsible,\u201d the department said. \u201cWe urge the community to look past online rumors and focus on facts that will help us catch the actual shooter and find justice for the family.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police said there were dozens of people near the victim before the shooting, along with hundreds of others nearby, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe encourage anyone with information that can assist detectives to share what they know,\u201d the agency said.<\/p>\n
Anyone with information is asked to call 813-231-6130 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
