Battle of Bloody Mose<\/p>\n

Fort Mose | St. Augustine<\/p>\n

If you are a history buff or just looking for a fascinating weekend outing, head to Fort Mose Historic State Park this Saturday to witness a dramatic turning point in Florida\u2019s history: the Battle of Bloody Mose. Reenactors will be recreating the intense 1740 clash when a diverse alliance of Black, Spanish and Indigenous fighters launched a surprise pre-dawn ambush to reclaim their fort from British forces. The victory ultimately saved St. Augustine from being overtaken. Go to experience an immersive\u00a0colonial Floridian historical event right where it actually happened.<\/p>\n

Summer Sunset Concert<\/p>\n

Amelia River Waterfront Park | Fernandina Beach<\/p>\n

The city of Fernandina Beach Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a Summer Sunset Concert Series\u00a0at the New Amelia River Waterfront Park on Sunday evenings through the end of the summer, and they are kicking it off this weekend with a performance by Gilberto \u201977. As the tunes fill the air, there will be food trucks, local vendors and activities to keep the kids entertained. If you don\u2019t want to haul your own seat, chair rentals will be available. Also, Keep Nassau Beautiful is setting up free water refill stations, so make sure to bring along a reusable water bottle. So, grab your friends, family, blankets and lawn chairs and catch a beautiful riverfront sunset while soaking in some live music.<\/p>\n
