(Mandatory Credit: Melina Myers-Imagn Images)<\/p>\n<p>Miami alum Tre Donaldson isn\u2019t going to have to drift too far to begin his NBA career.<\/p>\n<p>Moments before the end of the 2026 NBA Draft, the former Hurricane point guard signed a two-way deal with the Miami Heat, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/shamscharania\/status\/2069970767186444458?s=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according<\/a> to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Undrafted Miami guard Tre Donaldson has agreed to a two-way NBA deal with the Miami Heat, sources tell ESPN.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/2069970767186444458?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">June 25, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Donaldson was one of the better undrafted guards left for Miami to pluck. He fills one of the Heat\u2019s three available two-way contracts, previously held by Trevor Keels and Vlad Goldin. Jahmir Young also had a two-way spot, but was converted to a standard contract at the end of the 2025-26 regular season.<\/p>\n<p>In his only season with the \u2018Canes, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He shot 45.4 percent from the floor, 35.9 percent from 3-point range and 76.6 percent from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>This is a breaking news story.
