(WCTV) &#8211; This week, a mother will stand trial for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2023\/01\/24\/tallahassee-police-department-investigating-death-3-year-old-boy\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2023\/01\/24\/tallahassee-police-department-investigating-death-3-year-old-boy\/\">death of her three-year-old son<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A jury was chosen on Monday to hear the case against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2024\/03\/23\/tallahassee-woman-charged-death-3-year-old-son-who-died-after-ingesting-drugs-including-fentanyl-court-records-say\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2024\/03\/23\/tallahassee-woman-charged-death-3-year-old-son-who-died-after-ingesting-drugs-including-fentanyl-court-records-say\/\">Cameren Evans<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Evans is charged with aggravated manslaughter after her three-year-old died in January 2023. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Cameren Evans, 35, faces an aggravated manslaughter charge in connection to her child's death....\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/DF6JHSXMF5FP7LVCNQQIQJTDRU.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Cameren Evans, 35, faces an aggravated manslaughter charge in connection to her child&#8217;s death. Her arrest stems from a death investigation of her son who was found unresponsive inside of a Tallahassee apartment.(Leon County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The child was found unresponsive in a Tallahassee apartment, and an autopsy indicated the boy swallowed fentanyl. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Evans is also accused of leaving her child in the care of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2024\/03\/25\/second-arrest-made-death-3-year-old-tallahassee-boy-who-died-ingesting-fentanyl\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2024\/03\/25\/second-arrest-made-death-3-year-old-tallahassee-boy-who-died-ingesting-fentanyl\/\">Tony Balcom<\/a>, from whom she bought drugs.
