(WCTV) &#8211; Local animal rescue Champs Chance is getting a helping paw amid a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/07\/09\/champs-chance-out-time-options-after-zoning-battle-with-gadsden-county\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/07\/09\/champs-chance-out-time-options-after-zoning-battle-with-gadsden-county\/\" target=\"_blank\">lengthy zoning violation battle<\/a> with Gadsden County. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Azalea Gardens Memory Care hosted \u201cPaws With a Purpose\u201d to raise money for the animal rescue on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-center\">More Tallahassee news:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The afternoon brought residents, families and community members together to meet some of the dogs at Champs Chance while creating handmade blankets, toys and treats for dogs waiting to find their forever homes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Champs Chance owner Alicia Bopp says the community support has really helped them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/06\/17\/zoning-issue-puts-june-deadline-champs-chance-dog-rescue\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/06\/17\/zoning-issue-puts-june-deadline-champs-chance-dog-rescue\/\">through this uncertain time.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s heartwarming, it\u2019s really been rough on us, really rough, so to have any kind of community support has been, really has lifted all of our spirits.
