\"RWB-SE-logo\"The Cape Coral Bridge and surrounding roads will be closed starting at 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, through 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, for the Freedom 5K race and Red, White & BOOM event.<\/p>\n

The closures include Cape Coral Parkway from SE 15th Avenue\/Cape Coral Street to the bridge and Del Prado Boulevard from SE 47th Terrace to Miramar Street\/Waikiki Avenue.<\/p>\n

The Freedom 5K race begins at 7 a.m. on Independence Day, followed by Red, White & BOOM at 5 p.m. at the Cape Coral Bridge. Fireworks are scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m. Motorists seeking to access Cape Coral Parkway from Del Prado Boulevard will be rerouted to make a U-turn. Alternate routes include the Veterans Memorial and Business U.S. 41 bridges.<\/p>\n

SHUTTLE SERVICE AVAILABLE FOR RED, WHITE & BOOM<\/p>\n

This year, the City is offering a free shuttle service for Red, White & BOOM attendees. Please view the graphic below for shuttle drop-off and pick-up locations. The shuttles will run from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. on July 4th.<\/p>\n

NO DRONE ZONE<\/p>\n

The Cape Coral Police Department will deploy drones for event safety and to aid ground officers at Red, White & BOOM. A NO DRONE ZONE will be in effect from 2 p.m. Saturday, July 4, to 12 a.m. Sunday, July 5. The restricted airspace includes the entire event area and associated road closures to ensure officers operate drones safely.<\/p>\n

Interfering with law enforcement or emergency response violates federal law and can result in civil penalties of up to $20,000 and potential criminal charges under Florida State Statute.<\/p>\n
