Zach Thompson gives his top teams to consider for MLB DFS stacks on Friday\u2019s daily fantasy baseball slate on DraftKings.<\/p>\n

Major League Baseball has an exciting 13-game Friday night slate lined up for the main DraftKings contests to start the week. With so many options to choose from, there are several offensive matchups to consider \u2014 and a few to avoid. While the most hitter-friendly ballparks aren\u2019t in play or have less than premium offensive conditions, there are a few matchups to attack this Friday. Let\u2019s take a look at the top matchups and run down my top three lineups to build around in Friday night\u2019s MLB DFS Stacks.<\/p>\n

Chicago White Sox: The ChiSox are taking on Mitch Spence and the Royals. Spence has allowed 12 runs on 11 hits over eight innings in MLB this season and has pitched to a 6.54 ERA across 42.2 innings at Triple-A.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay Rays: The Rays are at home against the Diamondbacks and starter Zac Gallen, who has allowed multiple runs in six straight starts, surrendering 29 runs in his last 30.2 innings.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Twins: The Twins\u2019 offense is rolling as they host the Rockies and Tomyuki Sugano, who has allowed plenty of loud contact this season \u2014 especially to lefties.<\/p>\n

Before we break down all the selections for these contests, let\u2019s define exactly what we\u2019re searching for. An ideal target for MLB DFS stacks is a team well-positioned to score plenty of runs based on its matchup and ballpark. \u201cStacking\u201d is the strategy of adding multiple players from the same MLB lineup to your roster to boost each other\u2019s production.<\/p>\n

Ideally, MLB DFS stacks focus on players who are either back-to-back or from the same part of the lineup to allow positive correlation. Since most run-scoring plays produce fantasy points for multiple players, stacking a high-scoring team can carry your entry to the top of the leaderboard. The key to MLB DFS stacks paying off is finding the perfect matchup to attack, so let\u2019s take a deeper look at the top spots.<\/p>\n

1. Chicago White Sox<\/p>\n

Miguel Vargas ($4,400)
Colson Montgomery ($4,200)
Sam Antonacci ($3,700)
Braden Montgomery ($3,200)
Kyle Teel ($3,000)<\/p>\n

The White Sox took two of three games against the Guardians to start the week. They\u2019ll now face another division foe, as the Royals come to town, with Mitch Spence ($5,100) on the mound for Kansas City. Spence has made two starts, giving up 12 runs in his eight innings on 11 hits and six walks. Last year, Spence also struggled with the A\u2019s, going 3-6 with a 5.10 ERA and a 5.10 FIP in 32 appearances. Spence has also been hit hard at Triple-A this year, going 1-4 with a 6.47 ERA.<\/p>\n

Lefties are hitting .421 against Spence this season and .301 in his career. With those splits, Colson Montgomery, Sam Antonacci, Kyle Teel, and the switch-hitting Braden Montgomery make up the core of the stack. And Miguel Vargas is too good a power bat to leave out. Colson Montgomery had been scuffling a little before picking up hits in back-to-back games. Braden Montgomery has hit safely in four of his last five games, averaging 10.2 FPTS and posting seven-plus FPTS in four contests during that span.<\/p>\n

I highlighted Teel in my value picks for today<\/a> and love his reduced salary after his recent return from injury. Antonacci is another solid value option who has been doing a great job setting the table, averaging 10.2 FPTS over his last 10 games. He brings power and speed upside and makes a lot of sense given his low salary.<\/p>\n

2. Tampa Bay Rays<\/p>\n

Junior Caminero ($5,700)
Jonathan Aranda ($4,100)
Jonny DeLuca ($3,700)
Chandler Simpson ($3,500)
Richie Palacios ($3,400)<\/p>\n

The Rays split a home series with the Royals to start the week, scoring 18 runs to win the last two games of the series after a quiet start. The offense should be in a good spot to keep rolling against Zac Gallen ($6,000), who is having a rough season for the Diamondbacks. The former ace is 3-6 with a 6.10 ERA and a 4.97 FIP over his 16 starts this year. He has given up at least three runs in six straight starts, with an 8.22 ERA and a 1.96 WHIP over those 30.2 innings. Gallen has struggled on almost all sides of his splits, although lefties have posted a slightly higher wOBA against him.<\/p>\n

Junior Caminero went off for 48 FPTS on Thursday, smashing three homers against the Royals. He\u2019s up to 19 long balls on the season and has averaged 11.6 FPTS in his last 10 games \u2014 and 10.1 FPTS in 40 games at the Trop. He\u2019s a great centerpiece to build around for the Rays stack Friday.<\/p>\n

Richie Palacios usually hits right behind him against righties, while Jonathan Aranda hits just ahead of him. Both lefties have solid numbers lately, with Aranda posting double-digit FPTS in three straight games. The Rays also just got Jonny DeLuca back in the outfield mix after his time on the injured list with a hamstring strain. He has averaged 8.7 FPTS in his six games since returning with two homers.<\/p>\n

3. Minnesota Twins<\/p>\n

Byron Buxton ($5,900)
Kody Clemens ($4,200)
Trevor Larnach ($3,700)
Royce Lewis ($3,600)
Brooks Lee ($3,400)
Josh Bell ($2,600)<\/p>\n

The Twins are a great stack as they face\u00a0Tomoyuki Sugano ($5,800) in the first game of their set with the Rockies. Sugano pitches to a lot of contact and has a 4.31 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP on the season. He has allowed 14 homers in 79.1 innings, and lefties have hit 10 of them with a .379 wOBA, .287 ISO, and 16.5% barrel rate. The Twins come into the matchup hot, ranking fourth in MLB in runs scored over the last 30 days. The Dodgers just swept them to start their homestand, but they should find much easier going against the Rockies.<\/p>\n

While Byron Buxton is always the right spot to start a Twins stack due to his high ceiling and great power numbers, the lefties can fill in nicely around him based on Sugano\u2019s splits. Trevor Larnach has averaged 9.9 FPTS in his last nine games and has started hitting in the leadoff spot against righties, putting him in a solid spot ahead of Buxton, who has averaged 12.1 fantasy points over his last 12 games.<\/p>\n

Switch-hitters\u00a0Brooks Lee and\u00a0Josh Bell are strong plays at the corner infield spots as they face Sugano from the left side. Lee has produced 14 FPTS in back-to-back games and has averaged 11.3 FPTS over his last seven.
