Crews from Fox Haven Roofing in Jensen Beach said the sun, humidity, and heat reflecting off metal roofing make conditions especially challenging, making safety a top priority. “It is hot. We remind the guys to stay hydrated at all times. We always remind the guys can take breaks as well when needed,” Diego Mijares, project manager at Fox Haven Roofing, said.Mijares said his crews always have shaded areas available to cool down. The team uses a large cooler stocked with water, Gatorade, ice, and electrolyte packets to stay hydrated. “So we’ve been, we’ve been definitely running through, water packets like crazy,” Mijares said.
