APOPKA, Fla. \u2013 Christopher Alexander Delgado, the Apopka man accused of running a massive cryptocurrency investment fraud through Goliath Ventures, has agreed to plead guilty in federal court<\/a>, according to court records obtained by News 6 on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Background<\/p>\n

In March, ClickOrlando reported Delgado was arrested and charged federally and separately faced a class-action lawsuit tied to alleged investor losses<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The plea agreement (what\u2019s new)<\/p>\n

Delgado, 34, will plead guilty to:<\/p>\n

Conspiracy to commit fraud<\/p>\n

Wire fraud<\/p>\n

Money laundering\u00a0(illegal monetary transactions)<\/p>\n

The agreement also states Delgado:<\/p>\n

Agrees the overall loss to victims was\u00a0at least $250 million<\/p>\n

Agrees to pay\u00a0full restitution\u00a0to all victims<\/p>\n

What prosecutors say happened<\/p>\n

Federal prosecutors allege Delgado used Goliath as a Ponzi scheme from at least January 2023 – January 2026, including:<\/p>\n

Soliciting at least\u00a01,000 investors<\/p>\n

Promising profits from cryptocurrency \u201cliquidity pools\u201d and other DeFi strategies<\/p>\n

Marketing monthly returns that were sometimes described as\u00a0guaranteed<\/p>\n

According to the factual basis attached to the plea:<\/p>\n

Most investor funds were\u00a0not\u00a0placed into the liquidity pools described in marketing materials and contracts<\/p>\n

Investor money largely stayed in\u00a0bank accounts\u00a0or\u00a0crypto wallets<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say money was used for\u00a0personal expenses\u00a0and to make\u00a0distributions\u00a0to investors that were portrayed as returns<\/p>\n

Assets listed for forfeiture<\/p>\n

The plea agreement includes extensive forfeiture provisions. Items listed include:<\/p>\n

Kissimmee \u2014 222 Pawnee Trail<\/p>\n

Orlando \u2014 189 S. Orange Ave. (various units)<\/p>\n

Sanford \u2014 7333 Bella Foresta Place<\/p>\n

Apopka \u2014 746 Cavan Drive (over $77,000 was used to pay the mortgage on this property)<\/p>\n

Apopka \u2014 2142 Country Side Drive (nearly $90,000 was used to pay the mortgage on this property)<\/p>\n

Necklaces and bracelets, including a turquoise Pok\u00e9mon box containing a silver Pikachu necklace<\/p>\n

Luxury vehicles, including a\u00a0Lamborghini Revuelto,\u00a0Rolls-Royce Ghost, and\u00a0Bentley Bentayga<\/p>\n

Luxury luggage, purses, cases and wallets, including several Louis Vuitton products<\/p>\n

What happens next<\/p>\n

The plea agreement does\u00a0not\u00a0set the final sentence; a federal judge will decide later<\/p>\n

Delgado must cooperate with investigators; prosecutors will consider whether that cooperation qualifies as \u201csubstantial assistance,\u201d which can support a request for a reduced sentence<\/p>\n
