EMS personnel were also seen on scene.<\/p>\n<p>FDC officials said they could not provide additional details due to the incident being under investigation by the Office of the Inspector General. They did provide the following statement:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) prioritizes the safe and secure operation of correctional institutions. Inmates who cause harm to others are held accountable for their actions.
