TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The heat is here to stay! Thermometers will reach the mid to upper 90s this weekend as high pressure settles in. <\/p>\n
Sizzling Saturday<\/p>\n
A warm start to the day, but the sun is shining. If you have to cut the lawn or other yard work to get done, this morning will be the best time to do that. <\/p>\n
The sea breeze will spark afternoon showers for folks mainly SOUTH of I-10. So, most of us will NOT see a cooling shower. This afternoon, clouds will shield the sun occasionally in the Big Bend, while those in South Georgia should be mostly sunny much of the day. The window for rain will be between noon and 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
More heat on Sunday<\/p>\n
High pressure strengthens tomorrow, so the sea breeze should be less active. Highs will skyrocket into the upper 90s. With the humidity, your body will struggle to effectively sweat, which will make it feel like 105 to 108. This may lead to the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory for the area. <\/p>\n
Rain coverage increases next week<\/p>\n
The heat dome does not break down, so the HOT will continue, but the rain chances are expected to increase by Monday afternoon. Tuesday will be the best chance of rain this upcoming week. <\/p>\n
Scattered rain and storms continue through the rest of the week.<\/p>\n
