BarkHaven<\/a> just to eat.<\/p>\nThat\u2019s the funniest part about this place. You hear \u201cdog bar\u201d and assume it\u2019s all about the dog run (which, yes, is adorable). But the real surprise is the food is actually really good. Like… \u201cwhy is this so fresh?\u201d good. The dogs running around are honestly just a bonus.<\/p>\n
They just rolled out a bunch of new menu items for humans, and the kitchen is seriously impressive. Everything is cooked exclusively in beef tallow, which gives the food this rich, deepened flavor you don\u2019t find very often anymore. And the craziest part? Every single thing is made out of a food truck… even the wood-fired pizzas. Nothing tastes like it was microwaved or thrown together. It tastes like someone back there is putting their heart and soul into every dish.<\/p>\n
Cobb Salad (News 6 WKMG CSD)<\/p>\n
The Cobb Salad: I never thought I\u2019d be raving about a salad, but I kept going back to it. It tastes like they didn\u2019t just toss it on the menu to have a salad. The crispy bacon makes the salad and adds so much texture.<\/p>\n
Spud Flight (News 6 WKMG CSD)<\/p>\n
The Spud Flight (homemade chips, truffle fries, sweet potato waffle fries). This is the perfect appetizer for the table (but I could honestly crush this by myself) The truffle fries were my favorite \u2014 super flavorful without being greasy, and they had that real truffle\/garlic vibe that hits right away. But the homemade chips were the surprise for me: they had the perfect texture that you can\u2019t find in a bag and the beef tallow added a nice savory flavor to each bite.<\/p>\n
Patty Melt (News 6 WKMG CSD)<\/p>\n
The Patty Melt: I took one bite and immediately thought, \u201cWait\u2026 this tastes like In-N-Out.\u201d Like that exact comfort-food flavor that\u2019s salty and melty and makes you want another bite before you\u2019re even done chewing. The closest thing to the west coast classic that I\u2019ve ever tried!<\/p>\n

Arayas “Lebanese Burger” (News 6 WKMG CSD)<\/p>\n
The Lebanese Burger: This one isn\u2019t part of the new menu, but I just can\u2019t skip it when I\u2019m here. The meat is so spiced and the pickled side salad and creamy sauce perfectly balance out the kick, and it has a KICK, so if you don\u2019t like heat, just know that going in. But if you do like spicy? It\u2019s that kind of burger where you\u2019re like, why is a DOG BAR making one of my favorite burgers in town?<\/p>\n
BH Protein Bowl (News 6 WKMG CSD)<\/p>\n
The Protein Bowl: This tasted homemade in the best way. Served with either chicken or beef it\u2019s the perfect meal to treat your tastebuds but also nourish your body with a balanced, hearty meal. <\/p>\n
Pup-Peroni Pizza (News 6 WKMG CSD)<\/p>\n
The Pup-eroni Pizza: I truly wasn\u2019t expecting this to be a standout, but the crust was perfect \u2014 that in-between chewy and crunchy texture that you can only get from a real wood fire oven. It was perfectly cheesy and not greasy at all.<\/p>\n
Being dogless, BarkHaven was never the type of place I thought I\u2019d be frequenting, but I\u2019m so glad I discovered this hidden foodie gem. If you\u2019re a dog owner this place is a no brainer. But if you\u2019re like me and you\u2019re just coming for a great meal and you happen to get to watch a bunch of cute dogs living their best life while you eat? That\u2019s a pretty great perk.<\/p>\n
