TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – In its regular season finale on Saturday night, the Tallahassee Reckoning topped Fort Lauderdale United FC 2-0 on goals from Kendall Sadberry and Lily Kiliski.<\/p>\n
The Reckoning finish the season with an overall record of 5-3-2.<\/p>\n
World Cup champion and Olympic gold medalist Crystal Dunn was in attendance. She\u2019s close with team founder Ashlee Fontes from their time together with the Washington Spirit. Fontes is responsible for drafting Dunn onto the team.<\/p>\n
Dunn says she\u2019s pleased with what she\u2019s seen with the development of the Reckoning and is excited to see how it will progress.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo see the girls train and play and work hard and give everything to the sport, obviously now [with me] being retired, it brings me so much joy knowing that we are working really hard to make sure that they have all that they need to kind of live out their dreams,\u201d said Dunn. \u201cI think, there\u2019s a massive gap still that I think needs to be filled. And I think Ashlee has done an incredible job of raising awareness about that, but on top of that, doing something about it. I think that…it\u2019s really only the beginning. I\u2019m happy the girls are enjoying it, but there\u2019s still so much work that needs to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n
