TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) \u2013 Big Bend Hospice celebrated the grand opening of its second retail thrift store with a ribbon-cutting in Tallahassee on Friday. <\/p>\n
\u201cOpening a second location on North Monroe Street has really shown the impact of the community,\u201d Oak Tree Treasures Retail Operations Manager Chloe Bassham said. <\/p>\n
The first Oak Tree Treasures location<\/a> opened in January 2025, and Bassham said having a second store is a big milestone. <\/p>\n More Tallahassee news: <\/p>\n Oak Tree Treasures offers furniture, art, clothes, books, and a range of other household and personal items. Store sales directly support Big Bend Hospice to continue providing end-of-life care.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re shopping at Oak Tree Treasures, you\u2019re directly impacting Big Bend Hospice patients and families,\u201d Bassham said. \u201cThe vital programs like the veteran services and the music therapy and the animal therapy, which not only help the patients, but help the families as well.\u201d <\/p>\n Oak Tree Treasures is always accepting gently-used donations to help keep the shelves fully stocked, and most store operations are run by volunteers. <\/p>\n The newest location is at 3802 North Monroe Street.
