TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Micahi Danzy, one of the fastest athletes in the world, and a Tallahassee native, hosted his second annual speed camp on Saturday. <\/p>\n
Danzy has turned his speed into a weapon on both the track and the football field at Florida State. The rising junior is an ACC champion in track and field holding both Florida State and ACC records. As a football player, he scored six touchdowns and earned over 800 yards from scrimmage in 2025. <\/p>\n
In his second straight sold out camp, Danzy, along with several other local athletes taught the Tallahassee youth the importance of using speed to your advantage and gave tips on how to maximize it. <\/p>\n
\u201cIf you run wrong, you might injure yourself. So like just teaching kids how to run at a young age, it just prevents injury later on in life and [it\u2019s cool to] be faster, you know?\u201d said Danzy. \u201cI feel like a normal dude almost. Since I grew up in Tallahassee, I don\u2019t see myself as a superstar. I just feel like a normal person who wants to give back to the community and bless the kids, like I said.\u201d<\/p>\n
