TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A heat advisory will go into effect at noon on Monday. The National Weather Service issued the alert for days when the heat index or feels-like temperature is expected to get above 108 degrees. <\/p>\n

\"AA heat advisory goes into effect this afternoon and lasting through this evening for feels-like temperatures above 100 degrees.(WCTV)Nearing 100 degrees<\/p>\n

Unlike yesterday, most of the region can expect feels-like temperatures above 100 and peaking between 105 and 110 this afternoon. <\/p>\n

\"TemperaturesTemperatures will feel like triple digits this afternoon.(WCTV)<\/p>\n

If you or a loved one works outside, be sure you are staying hydrated throughout the day and taking frequent breaks in shaded areas or in the air conditioning. <\/p>\n

If you plan to cool down along the coast, Gulf waters are in the mid-80s, so little relief in the water. Boaters can expect fairly smooth waters, however. <\/p>\n

Better chance for rain<\/p>\n

More heat for you Tuesday as highs drop back into the mid-90s, but temperatures will feel like triple digits once again. The worst of the heat will be in the morning to early afternoon before showers and storms develop in the afternoon. Not everyone will see rain tomorrow, but most of us will. The higher rain chances are courtesy of the sea breeze meeting with some upper-level energy. <\/p>\n

The heat does not budge this week, staying in the mid-90s as high pressure holds on through the 4th of July. <\/p>\n

An area of low pressure is developing along a stalled front off the Mid-Atlantic coast. The National Hurricane Center is watching this low for tropical development. It has a very small chance of developing as it drifts west through the Western Atlantic. <\/p>\n

\"AA small chance that an area of low pressure develops into an organized tropical system.(WCTV)<\/p>\n

This is not expected to become an issue for us. <\/p>\n
