A man wanted by authorities in Onondaga County on multiple felony sex crime charges has been arrested in Florida following a months-long investigation involving law enforcement agencies in both states.

The Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety announced that 26-year-old Robert Doughty-Wilder was taken into custody June 24 after investigators worked with detectives in New York beginning in February while an arrest warrant was being secured.

According to the department, Doughty-Wilder was wanted on an active Onondaga County warrant charging him with attempted first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree rape and second-degree criminal sexual act.

Florida jail records show Doughty-Wilder is being held without bond as a fugitive from justice and is awaiting extradition to New York.

The Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety credited the arrest to cooperation between its officers and New York investigators. Lt. Phillips, Sgt. Mowen and Public Safety Officer Smith were recognized by the department for their roles in locating and apprehending Doughty-Wilder.

A man wanted by authorities in Onondaga County on multiple felony sex crime charges has been arrested in…

[6
28,30,29
post-323230","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-florida","tag-florida","tag-florida-headlines","tag-florida-news
["GET
