TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Charges against the man suspected as the driver in a Tallahassee bank robbery<\/a> have been dropped, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Brandon Dodson was arrested last week and was charged with accessory after the fact after a Regions Bank was robbed.<\/p>\n

Court records show \u201ca suspect has confessed to the crime\u201d and admitted Dodson had no involvement in the crime. <\/p>\n

James Bryant was arrested last week<\/a> and accused of carrying out the robbery.<\/p>\n

Court documents show a vehicle arrived at the bank with at least three people inside. <\/p>\n

The driver, identified as Dodson, did not leave the vehicle during the alleged robbery, according to arrest documents. <\/p>\n

The rear passenger, now identified as Bryant, went into the bank and took a deposit slip and pen from the counter near the teller queue, arrest papers said. The suspect allegedly wrote \u201cThis is a robbery\u201d and asked the teller to hand over money. <\/p>\n

The teller told police the suspect told him to put money in a black plastic bag he provided and not to look directly at him. The suspect was given $3,190 in cash. <\/p>\n

According to arrest documents, the teller was afraid the suspect was possibly armed, although he did not make any \u201covert movement\u201d to indicate he was.<\/p>\n

Later, officers were able to identify the suspected vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. <\/p>\n

The third passenger, who has not been charged in connection with the robbery, told police Dodson was friends with the suspect, according to arrest documents. She said she believed the suspect had called Dodson the morning of the alleged robbery.<\/p>\n

Dodson drove the woman\u2019s car, picked up the suspect and drove him to Regions Bank \u201cat his request,\u201d per court records. She told police she believed the suspect was \u201ccashing an insurance check.\u201d Once back in the car, she told police the suspect paid Dodson $140. The woman told police they dropped the suspect off at an unknown location. <\/p>\n

Dodson told police he did not know the suspect, according to court documents. Officers asked Dodson to reveal his call logs, which he refused to do. <\/p>\n
