(KOLN) &#8211; A Nebraska football running back was arrested in Florida on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to jail records, 20-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/huskers.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/player\/mekhi-nelson\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/huskers.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/player\/mekhi-nelson\">Mekhi Nelson<\/a> is accused of aggravated battery involving a pregnant woman in Key West, Florida. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Details about the alleged assault are limited. 10\/11 News has made a request for more information with the Key West Police Department.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He will be arraigned in court on July 9 at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sophomore has been with Nebraska since 2024.
