The\u00a0Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens\u00a0is reporting healthy recovery for a rescued Florida panther kitten.<\/p>\n
The kitten, named \u201cPeppercorn\u201d by Naples Zoo staff, was rescued by the\u00a0Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission\u00a0(FWC) on March 9, the zoo said in a news release.<\/p>\n

FWC informs that the mother had unabandoned the kitten. When rescued, it weighed less than three pounds.<\/p>\n

2. MAKING A COMEBACK: Barneys New York opening a Naples store<\/p>\n
The iconic high-end department store is staging a return, with its first stand-alone store planned not in New York, but in Florida.<\/p>\n
It appears the first store is coming to Naples with a lease signed at\u00a0Bayfront, a mixed-use development overlooking Naples Bay and the Gordon River, at the corner of Goodlette-Frank Road and U.S. 41.<\/p>\n
Word has spread about the planned opening of a 10,000-square-foot store not just locally, but nationally.<\/p>\n
In mid-June,\u00a0Women’s Wear Daily\u00a0(WWD) broke the news of the store opening with the relaunch of the Barneys brand by a group known as One Luxury Solution in Florida. The group is led by Richard Cohen, a veteran luxury retail executive, along with Eric Appelblom, an investor, who are both residents of South Florida. \u2013 Laura Layden\/USA TODAY Network-Florida<\/p>\n
