{"id":324910,"date":"2026-06-30T17:53:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T17:53:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/324910\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T17:53:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T17:53:14","slug":"runtso-invited-to-world-junior-summer-showcase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/324910\/","title":{"rendered":"Runtso Invited to World Junior Summer Showcase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.&#8211;\u00a0USA Hockey announced its list of invitees to the National Junior Evaluation Camp\/World Junior Summer Showcase today, and incoming Miami University defenseman Timmy Runtso is among the participants.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Showcase serves as an evaluation for athletes seeking to make their respective national teams for the <a href=\"https:\/\/teamusa.usahockey.com\/worldjuniors\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2027 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship<\/a> that is set for December 26, 2026-January 5, 2027, in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRuntso, a native of Playa Vista, Calif., will be a freshman with the RedHawks in 2026-27. He spent last season with the Victoria Royals in the WHL, putting up 44 points (11-33-44) in 68 appearances.
