Traffic Advisory: Liberty by the Bay<\/p>\n
Attention Drivers:<\/p>\n
As part of the Liberty by the Bay event on July 4, there is some important road closures information:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Laurel Street will be closed from N. Boulevard to Doyle Carlton Drive
\u2022 Green Street will be closed from N. Boulevard to Laurel Street<\/p>\n
These closures will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the event day. Drivers should follow all posted detours.<\/p>\n
Heading to Liberty by the Bay from the west?<\/p>\n
Consider using Doyle Carlton Drive to N. Highland Avenue to E. Palm Avenue to N. Boulevard as an alternate route around the closure.<\/p>\n
Want an even easier way to get around?<\/p>\n
Ride the FREE Jolley Trolley! The City of Tampa will operate three free Jolley Trolley shuttles continuously throughout downtown from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n
Shuttle stops include:
\u2022 Marion Transit Center, 1211 N. Marion St.
\u2022 Fort Brooke Garage, 107 N. Franklin St.
\u2022 Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Tampa St.
\u2022 Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, 1001 N. Blvd.<\/p>\n
Parking options include:
\u2022 Multiple City of Tampa parking garages throughout downtown
\u2022 Limited on-site parking at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park
\u2022 Limited ADA parking at the Julian B. Lane Riverfront Recreation Center (1301 N. Blvd.) and the Julian B. Lane South Parking Lot (903 W. Cypress St.)<\/p>\n
Visitors can also take advantage of the free TECO Line Streetcar System connecting Ybor City and downtown or utilize rideshare services.<\/p>\n
Additionally, heavy traffic is expected around other 4th of July event sites including Sparkman Wharf, Victory Ship, Jackson\u2019s, Armature Works, and other popular destinations. Drivers should allow extra time for travel and be prepared for large crowds of pedestrians and visitors.<\/p>\n
