Man shoots, kills dog inside neighbor\u2019s home after it bit child, Hillsborough deputies say <\/a><\/p>\nKennedy said he was driving along I-4 when in his rearview mirror, he saw what looked like one driver frantically trying to get away from another.<\/p>\n
In Kennedy\u2019s dashcam video, it appears that the driver who\u2019s been identified by police as 59-year-old Sylvester Brown corners a 24-year-old woman driving before getting out of his car. Just off camera, the man threw his fist at the windshield of her car, Kennedy said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was just shocking that that was a plausible outcome for anyone in their mind,\u201d Kennedy said. \u201cI\u2019ll just stop here in the middle of I-4 and go accost this person.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brown appeared in court Monday where officials said he violated his active probation for a separate battery charge. He is charged with reckless driving and criminal mischief of property valued $1,000 or over.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors asked for \u201csignificantly high bonds\u201d given his criminal history, including felony battery in 2018 and in 2007, felony possession of a firearm and carjacking with a firearm.<\/p>\n
In court, it was stated that Brown works full time as a truck driver. He lost his driver\u2019s license and the court ordered that he could not leave Hillsborough County.<\/p>\n
Kennedy said road rage is a consistent problem along highways across the Tampa Bay area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s the safe drivers who obey the law and abide by the law and the ones that get away with it,\u201d Kennedy said. \u201cI feel like the more they get away with it, the more they\u2019re emboldened to do it more.\u201d<\/p>\n
