The South Cape Run Club, in partnership with The Run Shoppe, Optimal Wellness and Cape Coral Run Group, recently hosted the 2nd Annual Global Running Day 5K, a\u00a0free community event celebrating movement, connection and wellness.<\/p>\n

Global Running Day is recognized worldwide as a day to inspire people of all ages and fitness levels to get moving. Locally, this event is about more than just running \u2014 it\u2019s about bringing people together, supporting one another, and creating an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome, from first-time walkers to experienced runners.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis event is about more than miles \u2014 it\u2019s about connection,\u201d said Ariana Murillo of South Cape Run Club. \u201cWe want people to show up as they are, move their bodies, and feel part of something bigger.\u201d<\/p>\n

By keeping the event free, organizers aimed to attract a large and diverse group of participants while creating meaningful exposure for local businesses.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event featured multiple food trucks, give aways and live music.<\/p>\n
