He joins Miami Carol City standout Nick Lennear in the 2027 receiver class, following a 2026 haul that already brought Somourian Wingo, Milan Parris, Vance Spafford and Tyran Evans to Coral Gables.

Miami has secured 6 elite receivers across two cycles

Wingo entered Miami as Rivals’ No. 37 overall prospect and No. 6 wide receiver in the 2026 class, and Parris arrived as the No. 109 overall prospect and No. 18 receiver. Spafford gives the Hurricanes a smaller and quicker option from California, while the 6-foot-4 Evans adds length from North Carolina.

Rivals ranks Lennear No. 26 overall and No. 4 at wide receiver in the 2027 class. Woodard, who committed after backing away from USC earlier this offseason, is No. 161 overall and No. 27 at the position in Rivals’ current rankings.

Miami’s offensive reputation should be revisited

For years, Cristobal has been labeled a run-first coach who wants to win with physical offensive lines, tight ends and a conservative approach. And critics often ignore the Hurricanes as a destination for elite pass catchers. But, in addition to the rise of Malachi Toney (109 receptions, 1,211 receiving yards, 10 touchdown catches and 1,622 all-purpose yards), the recruiting trail shows a different story.

Elite receivers are watching what Shannon Dawson’s system has produced, they are seeing Kevin Beard’s work with the position and they are putting their trust in the program that Cristobal has built.

In addition to Toney taking the college football world by storm, Miami has had plenty of success at the QB position, and that might even be the most important selling point for Cristobal on the trail.

Going from Cam Ward to Carson Beck to Darian Mensah is an impressive run. And critics might have to start recognizing that Cristobal’s Miami teams aren’t just old-fashioned football teams.

Add us as a preferred source on GoogleFollow

Four-star California wide receiver Eli Woodard committed to Miami on Monday after choosing the Hurricanes over Cal and…

[9
123,125,124
post-326262","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-miami","tag-miami","tag-miami-headlines","tag-miami-news
["GET
