The Orange County Sheriff&#8217;s Office said a woman ended a relationship with New York-based Customs and Border Protection Agent Angelo Portelli after discovering he was lying about divorcing his wife. The woman then began dating Orlando Police Department Community Service Officer Eugenio Santiago, who moved in with her, according to the arrest affidavit. Portelli was accused of confronting the couple outside their Orlando home. The affidavit said Portelli attacked Santiago from behind and put him in a chokehold before the confrontation escalated into gunfire. Authorities said shots were fired into the occupied home while the woman and her two children were inside, and vehicles on the property also were damaged.The affidavit said repair costs totaled more than $13,000.The investigation expanded to New York, where officials with Customs and Border Protection interviewed Portelli. According to the affidavit, Portelli admitted being in Florida during the incident and acknowledged firing his agency-issued weapon.
