The list of more than 130 new Florida laws includes legislation to rename an airport and a highway after President Donald Trump. <\/p>\n
The new Commercial Service Airports<\/a> law renames the Palm Beach International Airport to the President Donald J. Trump International Airport.<\/p>\n The new Transportation Facility Designations<\/a> law defined the new President Donald J. Trump Highway as State Road 870, from State Road A1A or South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach County, continuing westward through Hendry and Lee counties, and Commercial Boulevard in Broward County. It also designates a portion of State Road 985, or Southwest 107th Avenue, in Miami-Dade County as the Charlie Kirk Memorial Avenue.<\/p>\n MORE NEW LAWS<\/p>\n The list also included legislation related to terrorist organizations, the environment, new technology, education, and safety. <\/p>\n Terrorism <\/p>\n The new Foreign Influence<\/a> law limits ties with \u201cforeign countries of concern,\u201d expands criminal penalties related to \u201cforeign terrorist organizations,\u201d and bans pre-planned adoption agreements or surrogate contracts involving \u201ccountries of concern.\u201d <\/p>\n The new Systems of Law and Terrorist Organizations<\/a> law allows the Florida Department of Law Enforcement\u2019s chief of domestic security to designate \u201cterrorist organizations.\u201d <\/p>\n Public safety The new Dangerous Crimes<\/a> law, better known as Missy\u2019s Law after 5-year-old murder victim Missy Mogle<\/a>, includes \u201cany violation related to computer pornography or child exploitation\u201d and requires pre-trial detention regardless of the defendant\u2019s plea. <\/p>\n The new Sexual Offenses<\/a> law revises mandatory minimum sentences for convicted sex offenders, and increases penalties for knowingly soliciting, possessing, controlling, or intentionally viewing and creating child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n The new Habitual Traffic Offender Designation<\/a> law, better known as Isaiah\u2019s Law, creates a new designation for drivers who get three or more convictions of driving without a valid license within five years.<\/p>\n The new Domestic Violence and Protective Injunctions<\/a> law reclassifies penalties for committing a domestic violence offense if a person has a prior conviction for domestic violence.<\/p>\n The new Drowning Prevention<\/a> law expands the Swimming Lesson Voucher Program and directs the Florida Department of Health to develop educational materials.<\/p>\n Education<\/p>\n The new School District Unimproved Real Property<\/a> law requires an annual inventory of \u201cunimproved\u201d or vacant property for the Florida Department of Education. Without an agreement by July 1, 2027, the law requires districts to offer such properties to charter schools.<\/p>\n The new Athletics in Public K-12<\/a> law allows athletic coaches in high schools to make personal contributions of up to $15,000 annually to help support their players\u2019 transportation, food, and recovery. <\/p>\n Environment<\/p>\n The new Prohibited Governmental Policies Regulating Greenhouse Gas Emissions<\/a> law bans \u201cnet-zero\u201d greenhouse gas emission policies.<\/p>\n The new Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances<\/a> law directs the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to regulate Aqueous Film-Forming Foam, or AFFF, which is used for fire suppression.<\/p>\n The new Coastal Resiliency<\/a> law bans cruise ship operations and dredging or filling within the Terra Ceia Aquatic Preserve near Manatee County, and it directs DEP to issue new permitting processes by Jan. 1. <\/p>\n New tech<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/3BJKCBYT24YBT4JTPYZ3VKWWGA.jpg\")
