<\/a><\/p>\nThe final pieces of track were added to the spike. Cars will twist 180\u00b0 as they rise to the top and then descend back down into the rest of the ride.<\/p>\n
The \u201ctopping off\u201d was marked with an American flag and a Fast & Furious 25th anniversary flag. The first film was released in 2001.<\/p>\n After railings were added<\/a> near the load station, wheels have been added to the track\u2019s motors. These will propel the cars forward.<\/p>\n Protective foam has been strapped over a stretch of propulsion fins, indicating track will soon be installed above. This track takes guests out of the station while the overhead track will take them back.<\/p>\n Pictured above is a recently-installed piece of track far behind the spike, near the former Blue Man Group building.<\/p>\n Another piece of track has not been properly bolted to its support.<\/p>\n Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces\u00a0Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit<\/a>\u00a0and is expected to open in 2027.
