Here are the changes \u2013 NBC 6 South Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miami Beach has implemented a new program to cut down on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MiamiBeachNews\/status\/2072317904024899662\" rel=\"nofollow\">the towing of resident vehicles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the program that began July 1, residents registered with the Miami Beach Parking Department will now get up to three parking citations and then a courtesy text message each calendar quarter before their car is towed on the fourth violation.<\/p>\n<p>The End Resident Tows reform does have some exceptions. If residents don&#8217;t move their vehicle 24 hours after receiving the citation and public safety hazards, their car is subject to being towed. This also comes after a 15-minute courtesy text.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamibeachfl.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Miami-Beach-Adopts-%E2%80%98End-Resident-Tows-Reform.pdf?fbclid=IwY2xjawR_Hm9leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFVQnFFcDBieUhMR1lXUjEzc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHoKkYWblYXZdPSEe8MTEHxpqMZteh9vmvo4_AFRpJDntSkMyHHqwxxl8NNFj_aem_1dvXeTkQQ_tJcXYjpLXr1g\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The City of Miami Beach<\/a> also highlighted how immediate towing will still occur with serious public safety hazards like parking in front of a fire hydrant, disabled spaces, obstructed driveways, blocked sidewalks, blocked bike lanes, emergency access areas and freight loading zones.
