Kevin Millares, 27, was booked at the Orange County jail on Tuesday and entered a written plea of not guilty on Thursday to a charge of attempted first-degree murder.Deputies responded June 8 to Egan Drive and located the woman suffering from gunshot wounds at a bus stop. Investigators said the woman was out on her daily walk when it happened, adding she was shot three times in the back. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office soon identified Millares as the suspect and said he had fled to New York, where he was arrested June 23 and held at Rikers Island. Deputies, including SWAT, were at Millares’ home on Faber Drive \u2014 just one street over from Egan Drive \u2014 telling Millares to come out for hours following the shooting, but he wasn’t there.
