<\/p>\nStorm coverage picking up for holiday weekend in Central Florida<\/p>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFor planning purposes, all right, weather obviously very, very big for it. So we’re timing out more storms in the forecast for today, tomorrow, and Sunday. However, the good news is it looks pretty good for our sunset fireworks displays. So let’s get right to our 7 day forecast and notice that rain coverage building 50% today, 70% for tomorrow and Sunday. So let’s time it out using Futurecast. Here’s lunchtime today, not so bad, honestly, through 2 o’clock, starting to see the popcorn showers, even *** few thunder showers. Now 4:00 p.m., that’s when we’re going to start to get that line of rain, and it’s going to be working through the metro by 5:30, 6 o’clock, and then by 78 o’clock we watch everything out west looking better and better for us. So for red hot and boom, yeah, there may be some storms around early when the musical acts are on, but after that we’re going to be just fine. Look at the difference on our future cast for Saturday though. By lunchtime, already some storms out west. Notice that radar picture really filling in 234 o’clock widespread storms. But the same idea here where we’re going to clear it out, 678 o’clock, way better. Then afterward, Sunday, obviously it’s going to be stormy, but I want you to notice, see these temperatures climbing for next week. And I talked about this *** little bit yesterday, but that big heat dome that we’ve been talking about the northeastern United States starts to push into our area and it really starts moving here on Sunday and makes its way into the area Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. But to give you an idea, New York City hit 100 degrees yesterday. Orlando’s high temperature for the year is 98 degrees, and we still have excessive heat warnings. Effect for so many locations. So that moves here for next week. So fun for us. But for now, just watching *** quiet morning as we peek outside Daytona Beach, 77 degrees. Current temperature there, 79 in Leesburg, 74 in Ocala. Few spotty showers on our first warning live radar coming in here to Flagler. Otherwise we are just fine this afternoon. We make it to 94 in Orlando, so we’re going to be above average. 94 degrees in Wildwood, even along the. Shoreline, upper 80s and lower 90s. And if you’re heading to the beach today, surf breaking about 1 to 22 to 3 ft offshore, and there’s *** moderate risk of rip currents. Just something to keep in mind. All right, 7 day forecast showing that building rain coverage these next few days and then looking ahead to next week, it’s getting hotter and hotter.
