5 to 7 p.m. Created in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, this exhibition explores the many cultures, histories and communities that have shaped the nation’s identity. Developed in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution and Florida Humanities, it combines photographs, artwork, artifacts and personal stories with a special focus on the experiences of Caribbean and Latin American immigrants and their lasting influence on South Florida and the United States.<\/p>\n

67th Annual Fourth of July Celebration<\/p>\n

9 a.m. Celebrate Independence Day and the Village of Key Biscayne’s 35th anniversary with a full day of community festivities. The program includes traditional field games, the annual Fourth of July Parade, a Liberty Grill BBQ hosted with the Key Biscayne Rotary Club, and an evening of fireworks display on the beach at 9 p.m. A festive island tradition for residents and visitors of all ages.<\/p>\n

Bugtopia at Zoo Miami<\/p>\n

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oversized animatronic insects take over Zoo Miami in this immersive, comic book-inspired experience for all ages. Bugtopia features giant animated bugs, interactive exhibits, photo opportunities and hands-on educational activities that explore the fascinating world of insects. Opening weekend includes live entertainment, themed experiences and family-friendly surprises, all included with zoo admission.<\/p>\n

Play the Grove<\/p>\n

This temporary project transforms CocoWalk Plaza into an interactive, soccer-inspired playscape where children and families can climb, explore and play. Created in celebration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the free public art installation reimagines the game through creative design, movement and hands-on discovery, making it a fun stop for soccer fans and curious explorers alike.<\/p>\n

Based on his research and book Espa\u00f1a: El Aliado Decisivo, the talk explores Spain\u2019s strategic support of the thirteen colonies and its lasting impact on the fight for independence as the nation marks America’s 250th anniversary.<\/p>\n
