SEE IT: LIGHTNING STRIKE CAUSES MAJOR HOUSE FIRE DURING SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN TEXAS<\/a><\/p>\n According to Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, emergency crews responded to the 6500 block of Estero Boulevard, where it appeared that four people had been struck by lightning.<\/a><\/p>\n The Fort Myers<\/a> Beach Fire District said that when crews arrived on scene, they found one individual unresponsive. A bystander had already begun CPR and was using an AED before emergency responders arrived.<\/p>\n Despite lifesaving efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. If lightning is observed in the area, officials urge people to stay out of the water, seek immediate shelter, and avoid tall or isolated objects that could pose a risk of injury.<\/p>\n Officials also recommend staying indoors for at least 30 minutes after hearing the last clap of thunder and staying away from windows and doors during storms.
